From June 5-10, twenty doctoral and post-doctoral participants (from seven countries of Europe, Brazil, the USA and Canada) gathered at UBC for the Summer School, jointly sponsored by the Department of Sociology, SSHRC, the UBC Hampton Research Endowment Fund, the Italian National Institute of Health & Science on Ageing and the Centre for Ageing and Supportive Environments, Lund University, Sweden.
