The Martha Foschi Award for Excellence in Research and Teaching is a new biannual prize that will recognize excellence in sociological research and teaching, while simultaneously honouring the many accomplishments of Dr. Martha Foschi. Our goal is to raise at least $30,000 for this award.
Martha has played a leading scholarly role at UBC since she moved here in 1967. To this day she continues to work with students and conduct social psychological experiments designed to add to our knowledge of significant social processes. Her research has been published widely and cited by colleagues around the globe. Martha touched the lives of many of us in very positive and beneficial ways. She was, and continues to be, very much the quintessential mentor, having influenced the careers of countless numbers of students.
