We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Kathryn McConnell will be joining our department in July 2024.
Dr. McConnell completed her PhD at Yale, where her dissertation examined the effects of wildfire destruction on human migration and settlement patterns. Her research focuses on climate-related mobility, housing access, and environmental politics.
Her most recent publication describes the communication of the Green New Deal, and she has published collaborative research on the impacts of Covid-19 on rural America, the climate implications of Indigenous land dispossession, and urban heat.
