Dr. Emily Huddart Kennedy took part of expert panel convened by the Canadian Council of Academics, which just released report exploring a transition towards a circular economy in Canada.



Dr. Emily Huddart Kennedy formed part of an expert panel convened by the Canadian Council of Academics (CCA) and requested by Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) to identify the opportunities and challenges for Canada to move to a circular economy.

The panel has released its report, calculating a circularity rate for Canada’s economy for the first time, and deeming circular economics as an aspirational direction in which to move, involving transformative and system wide change.
