Prof. Amanda Cheong
The fellowship aims to recognize researchers in the social sciences displaying unusual premise as scholars of Southeast Asia. Established in 2013, the fellowship aims to promote research on Southeast Asia that is theoretically informed, analytically sophisticated, and methodologically precise and which contributes to contemporary debates in political science, economics, and sociology.
As part of her fellowship, Prof. Cheong is invited to present her paper “Evidentiary Struggles in Birth Registration and Citizenship Claims in Malaysia” at the organizations’ next meeting.
