UBC Sociology’s Distinguished Speaker Series presents a talk titled, “What Erich Fromm’s critical theory can teach us about public sociology,” by McMaster University Professor Neil McLaughlin.
Faculty, staff, and students are invited to this picnic in memory of Professor Sinikka Elliott. Please bring a vegan (optional) dish to share, and a blanket to sit on. Drinks, cutlery and plates will be provided.
Together with all speakers, they will discuss the significance of sustainability and climate change education in higher education and will share their work about they’ve set goals, made content connections, and designed their courses and programs.
