Congratulations to UBC Sociology Prof. Renisa Mawani for being among the 2022 UBC Faculty Research Award recipients.
Prof. Mawani
Mawani was awarded a UBC Killam Research Prize in recognition of research excellence and scholarly achievements. Prof. Mawani’s work focuses on colonial legal histories, looking at the subject through the interaction of critical theory and legal history, as well as the juncture of science, law, and history.
Prof. Mawani’s research has previously been recognized through her appointment as Canada Research Chair in 2022.
